WORKING!! the musical

Ok, so my spring break wasn't all fun and games. I did spend several days at school getting things ready for the musical. I will enclose pics of some of the work we did. I hope some of you will be able to come and see the show. It opens on Friday April 13 and runs for 2 weekends. Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 and sundays at 2. Tickets are $8 per person. If you don't know what "WORKING" is about, I'm including a brief description. I hope to see some of you!! Enjoy the pics:)

The hopes, dreams, joys and concerns of the average working American are the focus of this unique, extraordinary musical. That the everyday lives of “common” men and women should be so compelling and moving will surprise and inspire anyone who has ever punched a time clock. Based on Studs Terkel’s best-selling book of interviews with American workers, “Working” paints a vivid portrait of the men and women the world so often takes for granted: the schoolteacher, the parking lot attendant, the waitress, the millworker, the mason, the trucker, the fireman, the housewife, just to name a few. It’s a highly original look at the American landscape that’s simply impossible to forget

.

The students are really excited about doing this show. I hope we can get a lot of people to see it.

SPRING BREAK!

we got to see all sorts of fun goings on, even if the Nats did lose. They have a silly thing called the "Presidents Race" . Well Teddy Roosevelt hadn't won a race all last season, so he flew in from the top of RFK. The person in the suit is not paid enough for that sort of thing!!! It was still a great time even with the loss. David Gregory from NBC was 2 rows in front of us with his son and a friend. Charming man....and REALLY tall. It was free hat day so everyone got a "W" hat. Nice hat..........not cheap looking either!

It was a great day to be outside, we were in the sun for most of the game. As the season goes on it will probably get easier and easier to get good seats for the games as they do not seem to be starting out too well. That's ok by me..........I am a METS fan:) They are currently 4 and 1 with their first loss of the season last nite to the Braves.
