My husband is the best in the entire world because he scored tickets to tonite's opening day game at the new Nationals Stadium!!! New baseball season, brand new stadium AND free stuff for going!!! And we arent' in the mega cheap seats either. Section 309.

I will have a full review of the stadium later this week. Maybe we'll be on ESPN tonite.

LONDON!!

Just a few things to whet your appetite about the trip. More to come soon. I promise:)

A Rodin sculpture at the Victoria and Albert Museum (the V&A). This was my favorite museum. I really only saw maybe 1/3 of it and was amazed at the beauty and the scope of the artwork it housed.
Restoration work in the museum.

The inner courtyard at the V&A Museum.
A set design for Anna Karenina.... I took lots of set design pics. The models were amazingly intricate and detailed.

A frieze of Dionysus :)

St. Paul's by Christopher Wren. Quite a beauty. And we had some sun that day:)

View of the Globe from the Millennium Bridge as we walked over.

The Stage at the Globe. It was incredible.

OF COURSE I went to a pub for lunch;) Helloooo, I was in London!!

The Millennium Bridge and St.Pauls in the background
Ramses the Great!!!

The Central Court in the British Museum! It was stunning.

The Parthenon exhibit in the British Museum. I really love sculpture I guess;)

NO CRACKS!!!

Yes indeedy, I did try to go through to get to Hogwarts. DAMN. I guess I'm not a wizard.

OK, Virgin Atlantic is a fantastic airline!!

My room at the UMI hotel in Bayswater. TINY, but at least it was clean:)

More British Museum....sorry stuff is out of order. I'm trying to just get pics up and give you a sense of the trip;)

SPRING BREAK!!

So in 3 days I will be on a plane for London. I am very excited and only a little concerned about having to be responsible for so many people. As long as no one gets hurt I should be ok. And frankly, if they get hurt or arrested, it's probably going to be their own fault.

I am turning in my notice today at school. And then I'm taking the next three days off. I'm going to wait to tell the students until after spring break.

Rehearsal for Drood is going..... ok. I wish there was more time. But they are all working very hard. I'm starting to get a little worried about costumes. We never seem to be able to dress the boys.

I'm trying to scope out an evening for the next Killer Bunnies night. Suggestions are welcome!
