Another Trip!!

So in two weeks I will be be spending a week touring London!! Finally the trip has arrived. Well, almost arrived. 16 more days. It's a large group...41 of us. There are 13 adults going, including my mother. I'm sure that will be fine. No, really.

We get two full days off from "organized tours" that are just free days for us. Those are the days I'm really looking forward to. I'll be escaping the children and spending a day at RADA with Kyle Soller and then the other day spending it with my mom. I don't know what shows we're seeing yet, I'll find out at the beginning of next week.

Until we go tho, we are heavy into rehearsals for Drood! We had a run through of the first act yesterday. Off book and they did ok. Only a few line calls and one train wreck where they had to get their scripts at the end of the act. For the first time through it ran an hour and 40 minutes. UGH. When I told them how long they all looked devastated. They know it shouldn't be that long. It's timing issues within the scenes and no track sheets. We should be able to easily shave off a good 15 minutes. We finally got an accompanist!! That's the thing we're really behind on, the music. There is a saga there, but I won't go into it. I'm proud of the students for stepping up and taking ownership so quickly and so completely. And the seniors really moving in to be leaders. The cast knows that the show doesn't get done and they want to make sure that they do a good job. It will be hard to leave them at the end of the year. Not hard to leave Woodbridge, but to leave them.

Ok, that's it for now. Talk to you all soon I hope:)

Please don't faint!!

So, it was a Killer Bunnies evening with friends and dinner!! This time it was a pasta station type dinner. Bud was chef and I think we all ate too much. It was good tho, red sauce, white sauce, sun dried tomatoes, cheese, italian sausage............and of COURSE, wine!!!!!! What is a pasta nite without some wine? ;)

Mark, of course, is on South Beach so he brought his own string cheese and nuts. And it was quite a revelation to him that Fresca is a diet soda!

We did play a little Catch Phrase while eating dinner. Not the real rules, but just passing it around and guessing the right answers etc...... Fun! I have GOT to get that game.

But eventually it was time for the main event! We had 9 people , and actually you're only supposed to have up to 8, but it was all good. Maybe next time we will have two tables going so the game goes a little faster. But I think that now people know how to play, it's bound to move a little faster. But as Antonio said, the new people last nite were BRUTAL!! First time we played we were nice to each other. Not Jim, Mark and Kristen. Damn. They were killing bunnies everywhere!! ;) If you don't know how to play the Bunnies game, you will just have to be invited to a game nite or buy your own set. At the end of the evening............damn if Mark Minnick didn't win the game!!!

It was tons of fun and there will be more such game nites in the future.

In other news, I missed wishing everyone a Happy Valentines day. Sorry. School is moving along to it's inevitable conclusion. We just finished the last 2 Saturdays of children's shows. This past was Alice in Wonderland. Both shows were packed!! It was really nice. Finally after 4 years there, the word finally got out and people are coming to the kids shows. Just in time for me to be leaving. Great. Oh well. That's their problem now. Hopefully it won't die.

I leave for London on March 14th for a week long tour. There are 41 people going and of them 12 are adults. One of those adults is my mother. This should be interesting. But I am excited to go. We get two full days free and I will, hopefully, be spending one of those days at RADA with Kyle Soller. I will definitely keep a journal and let everyone know how the trip goes.

Talk to you all soon I hope!!
